Accra, May 21, GNA - This year's Ecobank Ghana Limited Chairmen's Seniors Open Golf Championship tee-off at the Achimota Golf Course in Accra on Saturday, May 23.
Frank Adu Junior, Captain of the Achimota Golf Club who made this known in Accra on Wednesday, said about 100 golfers are expected to participate in the competition which is opened to senior golfers from 55 years and above.
He said the competition which is being sponsored by the bank, is to honour past chairmen of the bank.
The competition has been grouped in categories of 55 -60 years, 61-65 years and 66-70 years.
Mr J.S. Addo, former Governor of Bank of Ghana and the first Board Chairman of the Bank is expected to take part in the competition.
Other seasoned golfers expected to be seen in action include Mike Ezan, Rene Kwame, John Atta Nyamekye and Mike Aggrey, all of Achimota Golf Club.
The ladies segment would also witness stiff opposition from Clara Price, Esther Antwi, Mona Captan, Adelaide Owusu-Adjapong and Mercy Wenner.
