The 2012 FA Cup champions had a poor run in the first round of the league finishing 15 on the league log, conceding 27 goals, hence achieved the infamous feat of being the team with most goal conceded.

However, the had working president of the club Abdul Salam has the confidence that his team will put things in order and lift themselves up from the bottom.

'Although New Edubiase are in the relegation zone at the moment, we will fight hard in the second round and bounce back becauseNew Edubiase is not a relegation team.

'We have 18 points and Medeama who are lying 4 on the league table have 23 points this means that two wins from our first two matches in the second round can take us there.

'We had a management meeting to discuss the things that went wrong with the team in the first round and we will meet the playing body to motivate them to put up their very best in the second round,' the New Edubiase President told Viasat 1.
