AshGold Finish Tops of FCPPL After First Round

Soccer miners AshantiGold fc maintained their lead on the First Capital Plus Premier League (FCPPL) after fifteen round of matches.

AshantiGold drew 1-1 with former continental club masters, Accra Hearts of Oak at the Obuasi Len Clay stadium on Wednesday. Hearts had to wait late to steal a point through Emmanuel Laryea's strike after Didier Kore had put the soccer miners ahead.

Former Champions League campaigners' Berekum Chelsea came from a goal down to beat Inter Allies 2-1 at the Golden City Park. Niare Benogo broke the deadlock for the visitors before Kofi Owusu and Richard Adjei's goals secured the win for Chelsea.
