League Report Fabulous for life: I will extend Kotoko stay - Abeiku Ainooson
DEC 27, 2014 LISTEN

Asante Kotoko stalwart defender, Abeiku Ainooson has exclusively revealed to  Allsports.com.gh  that he is ever ready to extend his stay with the porcupine warriors.

The CHAN star barely has 8 months left in his current contract as reports emanating from the local media suggest that he is on his way out of the Kumasi based club after both parties failed to reach an agreement for a possible extension of his contract.

Ainooson, who was adjudged the best 2013/14 Ghana premier league player of the year at the Happy fm's sports fans award on Saturday, beating off competition from Owusu Bempah from Hearts of Oak, Assiedu Attobrah of New Edubiase and Augustine Okrah formerly of Bechem UTD, confirmed that he is ready to extend his contract with Asante Kotoko because of the fans as it was revealed at the award ceremony that one staunch supporter of Asante Kotoko voted 1000 times for the 24 year old defender.

"Kotoko is a big club and i'm ready to extend my stay with Kotoko because i will not be signing the contract for myself but for the fans because they have been there for me and this is the time for me to say thank you to them due to what 'one' of the fans did by voting 1000 times for me", Ainooson told allsports.com.gh.

The former New Edubiase guardsman also spoke about Asante Kotoko target in next year's CAF champions league.

"The life patron of the club - Otumfuo Osei Tutu has told us to go and win the champions league trophy so our target is winning the ultimate", he added.

Abeiku Ainooson joined Asante Kotoko two(2) seasons ago from New Edubiase as he is currently under the radar of host of foreign clubs due to his outstanding form.
