Former Ghana FA chairman, Nyaho Nyaho Tamakloe has eulogized the Ghana Ministry of Youth and Sports for their proposal to have winning bonuses of Black Stars players slashed.

Allsports.com.gh  reported earlier this week that players bonuses at the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations will be $5000.00 if the team record a win, draw or loss.

But Dr. Tamakloe said the Ministry should have slashed the winning bonus more.

"I think it is a fair arrangement for both the boys [players] and government," Tamakloe told Joy FM.

Many think the new proposal will demoralise the players, but Tamakloe thinks otherwise.

"Before they start a game, they know they will be given $5000.00 whether they lose or win - of coarse if they lose a match,' he said.

"To me, that will rather push them to play very well to progress so that they can make more money from government," he opined.

According to Dr. Tamakloe the previous system where the players were give bulk sums was simply wrong.
