Down and out! Jordan’s introduction fails to save FC Lorient from elimination

Ghanaian player Jordan Ayew and his FC Lorient side have been eliminated from the Coupe De La Ligue [French Ligue Cup] after failing to beat visitors Saint Etien.

The French club who were playing at home in the Ligue Cup lost by a lone goal with Romain Hamouma scoring the only goal of the game for Saint Etienne.

Ayew did not start the game for Lorient but was introduced in the second half when his side were already a goal down.

The Ghanaian who replaced Benjamin Jeannot however could not work any goal scoring magic to save his side as FC Lorient failed to progress to the next round of the competition. Follow @kboakye92
