False rumour: Ayew denies Marseille contract extension

Olympique Marseille midfielder, Andre Ayew has denied reports that he has signed a one year renewal of his contract with the French side.

Recent reports quote the midfielder confirming a renewal of his contract which ends in June 2015 but in a surprising turn of events, the Ghana star has told  Allsports.com.gh  that the quotes used were from an interview he granted last year when he initially signed an extension to his contract.

"I have not signed a one year extension. My contract still expires in June of 2015 and we still await what will happen. These quotes attributed to me were done last year ."

The midfielder continues to be the subject of interest among several clubs in Italy and Germany.
