Hearts of Oak's Executive Board chairman Togbe Afede XIV has declared the club will no longer sign 'old' players as part of their new recruitment policy.

The Phobians have been undergoing major administrative changes since floating their shares in 2010.

Major shareholder and Executive chairman Togbe Afede XIV has however had to vote huge sums of his personal wealth to resource the club's recruitment drive.

Hearts have not fared well in their recent dealings in the transfer market.

They often miss most of their major transfer targets to their other Premier League rivals.

The ones they manage to buy are eventually found to be either injured or too worn out to perform at the expected level.

The club has now confirmed they will be using an age-ceiling whenever buying a player as part of their new recruitment policy to ensure value for money.

'We will not recruit players who are too old to perform,' the Executive Board chairman declared.

'We will have age limits for our recruitment to ensure we always have value for money.

'It also ensures the club gets a long term benefit from the player.'

Hearts of Oak have failed in recent years to contribute quality players to the various national teams as they used to in the past.
