Former IBF Intercontinental Super Featherweight champion, Emmanuel 'Game Boy' Tagoe is set to make a return to the ring on December 5 when he faces Tanzanian, Sadiki Momba at the D.G. Hathiramani Hall of Accra Sports Stadium.

Tagoe (22-1, 9 KOs), managed and promoted by Black Stars captain, Asamoah Gyan's Baby Jet Promotions will be fighting for the first time since beating American, Geraldo Robles in his first ever fight in the USA last year.

The boxer nicknamed Game Boy is still on a BabyJet Promotions roadmap to world championship glory with the fight against Momba (17-4-2, 5 KOs) set to kickstart a relentless drive and series of fights leading to a world title shot for the Ghanaian.

Tagoe famously defeated local rival, George Ashie in 2012 to win the vacant WBA International Lightweight title and bragging rights in what was also the maiden event by Baby Jet Promotions.

A rematch against Ashie was touted for December by the promoters could not get both boxers to agree a contract, offering Momba, the  25 year old Tanzanian the chance to square off against the Ghanaian showman.

Tagoe has previously also held the Ghana Featherweight, WBO Africa Super Featherweight as well as the WBA International Super Featherweight belts.

All for the man who lost his first ever professional fight, Game Boy having suffered a 5th round knockout loss to Lante Addy on his debut back on June 19, 2004.

Tagoe never wavered though, never giving up on his boxing dreams and has since gone to win all 22 fights since, raking up multiple titles as he still chases the childhood dream of becoming a world champion. Follow @thedonplato
