The Black Starlets of Ghana had to fight to the last wire on Sunday as they beat the Young Indomitables of Cameroon by 4-3 at the Accra Sports Stadium to qualify for the African U-17 Championship.

Playing in front of their home crowd the Black Starlets took an early lead in the 6th minute through Abass Issah when he connected home from a header.

Henry Medarious made it two for the twinkle twinkle little stars in the 26th minute. Jonah Osabutey made it three for Ghana in no time only to see Nguere Armel pulling one back for Cameroon in the 42nd minute.

Bayemi Nguidjol made it 2-3 for the Young Indomitables in the 48th minute but Henry Medarious extended Ghana's lead in the 86th minute. The Cameroonians gave the home side a scary finish as they pulled one back on the stroke of full time to leave the scores at 4-3 in favour of Ghana.

Ghana thus qualify on a 6-4 on aggregate haven't won the first leg by 2-1 a fortnight ago in Younde.
