Former Chelsea middie Frank Lampard came off the bench in the second half to give 10-man Manchester City a deserving 1-1 drawn game with Chelsea at the Etihad on Sunday.

The league leaders drew the first blood in the 71st minute through substitute Andre Schurrle after a slick passing exchange between Blue quartets (Schurrle, Costa and Eden Hazard) as the German dink the ball past Joe Hart who surprisingly did not save a single ball throughout the 90 minutes of action.

Chelsea who had been on the back foot throughout came off their shelves in the 66th minute when Argentine fullback Pablo Zabaleta was giving the matching orders by referee Mark Dean for a confrontation with Diego Costa after bringing the Spanish striker down.

Jose Mourinho's back four were very excellent with their tackles around the eighteen yard box as City's Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Eden Dzeko kept drawing rings around them in the first half with the aim of getting fouls around the area.

James Milner gave Cesar Azpilicueta a lot to chew with his marauding runs at the flanks coupled with a sweet link up play between him and Dzeko.

Elsewhere, new entrant Leicester City produced one of the memorable come backs in football to beat English Galatico's Manchester United by 5-3 at the King Power Stadium.

The new boys went down early in the game by two quick goals from Robin van Persie and former Real Madrid Winger Angel Di Maria but this could not scare the Premier League new boys as they came back to beat United in the second half.
