Ebusua Dwarfs Coach J.E Sarpong has warned all indigenous coaches not to apply for the vacant Black Stars job to forget it, saying the Ghana FA prefers an expatriate.

The experienced trainer believes it will be waste of time for an indigenous coach to put his application since he will not be considered.

“I will not apply for the job and I tell you that any local coach who applies for the job is wasting his time,” Sarpong told GHANASoccernet.com.

“The FA is clearly on a hunt for a foreign coach so if a local coach ventures I believe it's a complete waste of time.”

Kwesi Appiah's reign ended last Friday after the Ghana Football Association reached a mutual agreement to part ways with the 54-year-old.

He made case for indigenous African coaches after qualifying and leading the Black Stars at the 2014 World Cup finals.

But it looks like Ghana's inability to progress from the Group stage and the bore 1-1 draw with Uganda at home in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers.
