Ex Black Stars forward, Willie Klutse has condemned the damping of Uncle Ben Koufie as the Black Stars technical advisor for an expatriate.

Klutse who doubles as the spokesperson of the Retired National Football Association (RENFAG) believes the decision to choose an expatriate over Ben Koufie is an indictment on the integrity of all local coaches in Ghana.

A three member committee was set up early this month to appoint a competent technical advisor for Black Stars Coach, Kwesi Appiah ahead of the AFCON qualifiers starting in September.

Coach Appiah decided to make a personal choice in the person of Ben Koufie after a thorough study but the recruitment committee made of Francis Oti Akenteng, Fred Crenstil and Fred Pappoe rejected his choice with the reason that his preference is over aged

This reason has been described as outrageous by some football administrators and connoisseurs of the game and the 1978 Nations Cup winner ,Willie Klutse tells Happy FM these so call 'Football People' must sit up with some of their unthinkable decisions.

“When you say Ben Koufie is old, fine, go and find out his credentials, he is better than 90% of all expatriates who have come and gone and those who are yet to come. The first President of Ghana, Dr. Kwame Nkrumah by now will be wailing in his grave for such a decision after over fifty years of independence and we still believe the white man is capable of handling the affairs of the Black man?.

“No Whiteman who is good in his own country will come to Africa to work and I think the football people themselves need advisors not the Black Stars Coach.” He added.

Meanwhile reports are that the Ghana FA is likely to appoint Millovan Rajevac in place of the rejected Ben Koufie. Story by Ghana/Joy Sports/[email protected]
