Marcos Rojo
Manchester United are set to confirm the signing of Argentina defender Marcos Rojo from Sporting lisbon, with nani returning to Portugal on loan as part of the deal.
The Portuguese club has said on the Lisbon stock exchange that a deal worth £16m has been agreed for Rojo.
Sporting have also confirmed that Nani is returning, seven years after the winger joined United.
United sources say the deal is not done but an announcement is expected soon.
The deal for Rojo has appeared just a matter of time since the player toldArgentine radio station Continental on Monday that it would be a “dream to play at Manchester United”.
There had been complications over the player's contract.
Last week he refused to train with Sporting due to his frustration at not being allowed to leave, although he subsequently apologised.
