Transfer Update: Benzema close to new Real deal

Karim Benzema is close to agreeing a new contract deal with club Real Madrid but the Champions League winners have not given up on a move for Monaco star Radamel Falcao.

Falcoa has been linked with a loan transfer move from Monaco to Real Madrid in a package worth around £10 million.

The deal will however be made permanent in next summer's transfer window as Real Madrid put Financial Fair player in consideration.

Fernando Torres
Chelsea striker Fernando Torres is set to stay at the London club after manager Jose Mourinho confirmed striker is going nowhere.

The player has been linked with a transfer move to former club Atletico Madrid but Jose Mourinho said:

'Three strikers is fundamental in the squad and we have three - Nando, Didier and Diego.

'We have a good squad, the perfect squad would be with these 18 players, not 17.'

Marouane Fellaini
Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has admitted his Italian side are interested in Manchester United midfielder Marouane Fellaini.

The Belgium international is set for a move from Old Trafford despite joining the club just last year.

The Napoli president said of the Fellaini deal:
'Fellaini is one of the names on the table, but not the only one.'

He also joked with the partnership of Inler and Fellaini in the Napoli team saying:

'Fellaini has long hair, and the Swiss [Inler] is shaven. Together they have a hairstyle that looks like a lion's mane.'

Loic Remy
Loic Remy could still transfer to another club from Queens Park Rangers despite a move to Liverpool breaking down after the forward failed a medical.

Newcastle boss Alan Pardew is monitoring the France international and could make a move as he found no problem with the striker last season.

Pardew said:
'I am surprised about what's happened with Loic because I thought he was signing for Liverpool and that door was slammed shut.

'I didn't expect that, and we certainly had no problem with Loic during his time with us.

'So we shall monitor it as we go along.'

Edinson Cavani
Edinson Cavani has has squashed rumours of him wanting out of French Ligue 1 Champions Paris Saint Germain.

The Uruguayan forward said of his future with PSG and the transfer rumours surrounding him:

'I have a contract to respect with PSG. I'm calm. I prefer to be here. I feel good here. But as I have said before, it doesn't only depend on the player, but also on certain things that can happen at the club.'

Former Liverpool player Iago Aspas is sabotaging Liverpool's transfer interest in Sevilla player Aberto Moreno by claiming the player will not feel the same at the Anfield club.

Aspas told Sevilla.abc :
'Alberto Moreno would never feel like he does in Sevilla at Liverpool.

'I've been here for three or four days. Now that I belong to Sevilla, I prefer he stays here.'

Christian Atsu
Sky Sports claim that Everton are in for Chelsea winger Christian Atsu, mooting a year-long loan deal for the Ghanaian.
