Ghana defender David Addy is close to sealing a two-year deal with Belgian club Waasland-Beveren, GHANAsoccernet.com can exclusively reveal.

The 24-year-old has been training with the Belgian top flight club for the past days and is now close to firming up a two-year deal.

Addy is currently a free agent following the expiration of his two-year stay at Portuguese club Vitoria Guimaraes where he made his debut in the UEFA Europa League.

Waasland have even announced that they have secured a verbal agreement to secure the services of the Ghana international.

The announcement even went on to say the left-back will sign unto the tabled offer once he passes a scheduled medical on Thursday.

But GHANAsoccernet.com checks can confirm that talks are still ongoing albeit at an advanced stage.

The former FC Porto defender is desperate to get his club career back on track after leaving Guimaraes at the end of last season.

He was last month linked to English duo Crystal Palace and Derby County.

A reported deal to Club Brugge and Standard Liege also went dead.
