There were no surprises in the final list of Ghana's Under-20 female football team released for this year's FIFA Under-20 Women's World Cup (WWC) in Canada.

Coach Bashir Hayford's final list left out Linda Smith and striker Theresa Ackon-Cobbinah for the tournament which opens in Canada next week.

The list has 19 players with World Cup experience and two debutantes.

The team is made up of three goalkeepers, seven defenders, seven midfielders and four forwards, with La Ladies' Alberta Asante and Samira Ladies' goalkeeper, Rose Teye Baah making it to their first ever WWC.

The Princesses, as part of their WWC preparations, have played  three warm-up games, drawing the first game against Mississauga Panthers and wins against G-S United (2-0) and the latest 3-1 against Bayhawks U-21 side.

Drawn in Group A with hosts Canada, Finland and North Korea, the Princesses will play the opening game against Canada on August 5.
