The Ministry of Youth and Sports, in collaboration with the Ghana Football Association (GFA) have invited about sixty (60) Eminent Football Administrators to a 2 days Retreat on Friday 11 and Saturday 12 July, 2014 at 10am prompt at the Premier Best Western Hotel in the Airport Residential Area of Accra.
This Group of Eminent Football Administrators are made up of personalities with acclaimed experience in both the field of play and football management and administration in Ghana and abroad including former Black Stars captains Abedi Pele and Stephen Appiah as well as former Sports Ministers E.T. Mensah and Yaw Osafo Maafo.
During the 2-day retreat, the group will generally reflect on developments in the performance of the country in the area of competitive football and advice on the fashioning out of a national response strategy.
This is the first of a series of meetings of eminent persons in the various disciplines of sports and personalities involved in youth development programmes to help drive the sector, the Ministry stated in a press release signed by the new Sports Minister himself, Hon. Mahama Ayariga.
