Tema, June 23, GNA - Majid Joher returned a net score of 72 to win this month's Celebrity Golf Club Coca-Cola Medal Championship played at the Celebrity Golf Course at Sakumono on Saturday.
He was followed by Joe Omane-Baah with 73 net while Abed Ayibotele placed third with 74 net.
In the Ladies segment, Joyce Arousen came first with 75 net, Esther Antwi placed second with 79 net while Aileen Conteh took the third position with 80 net.
Akwasi Opoku, Captain of the Celebrity Golf Club who played three birdies together with Kwaku Okyere and Nana Annor-Amihere were given special awards by Holiday Inn Hotel, a co-sponsor of the competition which attracted 100 golfers.
Opoku thanked the two companies for sponsoring the competition over the years and called on other corporate bodies to help develop the sport.
Sabina Manu, Trade and Marketing Director of The Coca-Cola Bottling Company of Ghana Limited said the company will continue to sponsor the competition in the ensuing years.
