Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah is in South Africa to monitor his players before naming his provisional squad for the 2014 World Cup.
The Black Stars trainer left Accra on Wednesday night for the final leg of his monitoring of foreign-based players before naming his squad by May 13.
Coach Appiah will be tracking at first hand the exploits of players such as Fatau Dauda, Rashid Sumaila and Edwin Gyimah who play their football for South African Premier League clubs.
Appiah will also be checking in on Edwin Gyimah, Awal Mohammed, and Daniel Agyei who are all candidates for places in his squad for June's World Cup in Brazil.
The Ghana coach will be meeting up with club officials of his interested subjects to get all the behind the scenes information including detailed reports on the state of their fitness.
The Black Stars coach is desperate to avoid any controversy which may arise from the selection of unfit players for the World Cup.
He will also be visiting the training grounds of his players to check on their activities and competitiveness with just four games to the end of the South African league.
Coach Appiah will return to Ghana on Wednesday April 23 to finalize his squad for the 2014 World Cup.
