Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Frimpong was unhappy with Arsene Wenger's selection against Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League knock-out game last Wednesday.
The 22-year-old feels Wenger made a mistake by snubbing the German international Lukas Podolski in the game.
Podolski was overlooked by Arsenal against Bayern to the dismay of his former teammate.
With the Gunner forced into two early changes, with Nacho Monreal and Lukasz Fabianski on – with Arsenal chasing the game in the second half they had just one substitution left.
When Tomas Rosicky was brought on in the 74th minute, the decision sparked an angry tweet from former Gunner Emmanuel Frimpong, bemoaning Podolski being overlooked.
He tweeted: “ What has Podolski got to do to get a bloody game.”
Podolski is one of the most popular players at Arsenal and held in high esteem by his teammates.
