Ghana U20 star Derrick Mensah is close to sealing a move to Spanish club Atletico Madrid.
The 19-year-old has been training with the Madrid-based side for the past month since severing ties with Club Africain.
Mensah was sold to the Tunisian club just after the 2013 FIFA U20 World Cup where Ghana won silver.
Club Africain's failure to honour contractual obligations to the former Tema Youth star however led to the termination of the contract.
Mensah now says he is delighted with his imminent move to the Spanish club.
“I have trained very well with them but yet to sign a contract,” he told Metro FM.
“I will however officially sign the deal in January.
“I have been here for the past month and everything has gone on well.”
