Right to Dream's U-18s started their campaign in the Eastern Region knockout round of the Ghana FA Cup with an emphatic 3:0 victory over Golden Boots FC at the Akosombo School Park on Sunday.

Fresh from their tour of Europe, the U-18s settled quickly into the game after an early charge by the home team which saw them hit the cross bar.

Despite the rough nature of the field, Gareth Henderby's team dictated play for long periods in the first half, stringing together good passes to the pleasure of the few spectators at the ground.

It came as no surprise when Burkina Faso international, Illiase Sawadogo finished from close range after good work by Armeyawu Muntari, ten minutes to end the half.

Sawadogo was on the end of another good pass from Muntari to make it 2:0, twenty minutes after the restart, before Yaw Yeboah sealed victory with a solo run after latching onto a long ball.

The U-18s will host the return leg of the game on Wednesday, 2nd October, at the RtD School pitch at Old Akrade. RtD is competing with over 28 teams for the five slots available to the Eastern Region in Ghana's oldest Cup competition.
