Ghana defender Samuel Inkoom has revealed the excessive transfer demands of FC Dnipro is scaring off suitors.

The 24-year-old is yet to kick a ball for his Ukrainian club this season as his bench warming role under Juande Ramos continues.

Inkoom's inactive club career has had a telling effect on his performance in the national team despite the continued faith reposed in him by coach Akwasi Appiah.

The former Basel right-back had a relatively successful loan stint in France with Bastia but returned to his Ukrainian club after it expired.

Inkoom has however failed to secure a long-overdue exit from the club who clearly deem him surplus to requirements.

But the former Asante Kotoko star says his desperate attempts to leave Ukraine is being frustrated by an outrageous $10m demand by Dnipro.

“There are many offers and they [Dnipro] are demanding exactly the amount they used to buy me – I think $10m,” he told Peace FM.

“This is however very difficult because I am not playing. There was a club for instance that offered $1m but they didn't let me go.

“As a player there is not much I can do but to only continue working things out with my agent to make a move happen.

“If the offer comes and it is good, I will move because I want to play football.

“I am only 24 years and have a lot of football in me so all is not lost.”

Inkoom joined Dnipro in 2011 haven excelled with Swiss giants FC Basel.

He after a good start with the Ukrainian club has since failed to command even a first team selection on matchdays .
