Kudjoe Fianoo has communicated his decision to quit AshantiGold to the club's board, GHANAsoccernet.com understands.
The former Ghana FA Executive Committee member is said to have made his decision official in a letter to the Board citing personal reasons.
The club's board have reluctantly accepted the decision but says Fianoo must stay on until some administrative processes are completed to finalise his exit.
Fianoo has managed to revive the fortunes of the Miners since his appointment as Chief Executive in 2005.
He helped the Obuasi-based club qualify for the CAF Champions League, twice came up as runners up in the Ghanaian top flight and guided the team to an FA Cup final in his seven-year stint.
The former Administrative Manager of GHALCA has been recently linked to the Chief Executive post of Hearts of Oak which is currently being occupied by Fred Crentsil
