The inaugural Samsung corporate games got off to a flying start last Friday, evening with interesting results at the Lizzy Sports Complex in Accra.
The Professional Football Association of Ghana (PFAG), featuring some of the country's and continent's former stars, stole the show.
Featuring players like former world best George Weah, Sammy Kuffuor, CK Akunnor, Augustine Arhinful, Thomas Duah, Tony Baffour, Nii Odartey Lamptey, Sam Addo, goalkeeper Abukari Damba, among others, they endeared themselves to fans that thronged the pitch.
They won 8-2 win against Samsung in the opening game. GTV suffered a 1-5 defeat to Ashfoam, while Metro TV proved superior to Latex Foam in the last game with a 2-1 win.
The following day saw Dynamic Executive thrashing Newmont Ghana 4-1, with Stella losing 2-4 to Twist NFC. Happy FM lost 3-5 to Nestle Ghana Limited.
The competition continues this weekend with current league leaders PFAG taking on Happy FM this Friday, while Metro TV faces Stalla. Ashfoam will battle Samsung, with Latex Foam playing GTV.
Finatrade will battle with Nestle, while Newmont plays Ocean.
Twist will engage Dynamic FC in the first game of the day on Friday.
