
Accra, May 8, GNA - The Royal Golf Club will in partnership with telecommunications giants, MTN Ghana organize the Asantehene Gold Cup; an Invitational Golf Tournament at the Kumasi Royal Golf Club, from May 18-20.
The tournament, which forms part of activities for the annual MTN Ashantifest event will see the Asantehehe Otumfuo Osei Tutu, teeing off with Michael Nkpoki Chief Executive of MTN Ghana, alongside Professor Jacob Plange Rhule.
A statement signed by Admiral Abbey, Events and Sponsorships Manager, MTN Ghana copied to GNA Sports said the tournament will feature both professional and amateur golfers.
It stated that about 30 MTN High Valued subscribers will also get to participate in the three-day invitational tournament, which will start with a Flag Raising Ceremony, and the official tee off.
It said, Saturday, May 19 will serve as the Golf Day with the awards presentation and closing ceremony fixed for Sunday, May 20.
According to the statement, there will also be a MTN Walk-athon through the principal streets of the Kumasi Metropolis and a live Concert by high-life icon, Amakye Dede at the Royal Lamerta Hotel.
