It's all over, and Kumasi Asante Kotoko are the uncrowned 2011/2012 Glo Premier league champions.

At the Baba Yara Stadium today, the two-time Africa champions who before the season had nursed the ambition of a fantastic season sealed their title ambition with a barren result against lowly-place Berekum Arsenals in their 26th week Glo premier league tie.

But, with four matches to end the league, Asante Kotoko who had amassed 55 points can never be overtaken by any of the other teams and can only prepare for the crowing moment by the professional League Board at the traditional coronation match at a later date.

The draw result against Arsenals was however received with mixed feelings by the good number of supporters who watched the match.

Many of were disappointed as they were expecting the all-conquering Asante Kotoko to continue their winning spree but goals were difficult to come by on the afternoon.

Others were however content with the score line as it wrapped up the league for the Porcupine Warriors.

Coach Maxwell Konadu, who is tipped for the job of assistant coach of the Black Stars, dropped the tested striking duo of Kofi Nti Boakye and Ben Acheampong and started Ahmed Toure and Nafiu Iddrissu upfront.

But, it was always a difficult task for the duo with Toure wasting a plethora of opportunities some of them very difficult to comprehend.

Kotoko were in control of the first half but Toure squandered chances on the 2nd, 10 and 19th minutes. The Ivorian appeared destined not to score as on the 46th minute, he only shot against the foot of the near post with keeper Mutawakiru Rashid already groping in darkness.

The Berekum side who appeared keyed up for a draw resorted to time wasting and other antics, which worked for them as they walked home with a respectable one point.
