Miracle At Nou Camp…Chelsea Are In Finals
4/25/2012 7:30:46 PM -
Chelsea are in the Champions League final after goals from Ramires and Fernando Torres secured a 2-2 draw for 10-man Blues who sunk holders Barelona at the Nou Camp.
Barca peppered the west Londoners' goal area throughout the opening 45 minutes of the second leg and deservedly took the lead through Sergio Busquets, who tapped home from close range.
Things got worse for the Blues less than two minutes later when John Terry was sent off for inexplicably kneeing Alexis Sanchez from behind.
Barcelona surged further ahead through Andres Iniesta who put the ball past Petr Cech for the second goal for the Catalans. But then Ramires produced a magic moment in stoppage time- a deft chip over Barca keeper Victor Valdes- to reduce the deficit.
The Blues could even afford the luxury of conceding a penalty - early in the second-half - which Messi slammed into the crossbar.
And with seconds remaining, Fernando Torres rounded Victor Valdes to make it 2-2 on the night and 3-2 on aggregate.
Roberto Di Matteo's side will now face the winner of Real Madrid v Bayern Munich which takes place at the Bernabeu tonight.
