FA statement on Goran Stevanovic

By Ghana FA

The Ghana Football Association's attention has been drawn to a publication suggesting that Black Stars coach Goran Stevanovic will be relieved of his duties next month.

We wish to state that the report is inaccurate and does not represent the position of the GFA.

The report quoted an anonymous management member of the GFA in Malabo but all of them have denied talking to the reporter about the future of Mr. Stevanovic.

The report is also riddled with several inaccuracies as the coach's contract expires in 2013 and not 2012.

We want to assure the general public that a comprehensive report on the performance of the Black Stars at the 2012 Africa Cup of Nations will be made available to the executive committee on 22 February.

The Executive Committee will take the decision on the future of Mr. Stevanovic.

A press conference will be held in Accra on 22 February to announce the decision.

History will one day judge mugabe on what he has done to southern Africans' lives.
