On the occasion of the beginning of the prestigious AFCON tournament, the National Union of Ghana Students, NUGS wishes the Black Stars the best of luck as they proceed to make us proud in the Cup of Nations.
You the Black Stars have demonstrated your un-quenching desire to bring glory and laurels to your motherland, Ghana. At the recently held World Cup in South Africa, you made Ghana and Africa proud by proceeding to the quarter finals of the competition. Your name inspires fear in your opponents and when you get to the field of play, you give a good account of yourself.
Even though for the past thirty (30) years, luck has not been on our side, the students of Ghana have absolute confidence in your ability to end this undesirable drought and resurrect our victories once again.
As you go into this competition, go with the assurance of the support of the students of Ghana and the entire Ghanaian populace is solidly behind you both spiritually and physically. We know that this journey will not end without victory for Ghana.
Like all others, the students of Ghana wish you GODSPEED and await nothing short of GOLD.
GO GHANA, GO BLACK STARS, GO FOR GOLD!
God bless the Black Stars.
God bless Ghana.
Signed.
