Bekwai, Jan. 15, GNA – Emmanuel Baffour returned from the Black Stars training camp to power New Edubiase United to beat rivals Obuasi Ashantigold by a lone goal to end the first round of the Glo Premier League on Sunday at the Gyamfi Park in Bekwai.
This brings Baffour's goal tally in the goal king chart to 12 goals in 15 matches.
Both side started the game well with the ball moving from one end to the other but it was Edubiase who, however, had the upper hand scored in the 40th minute through Baffour.
Ashgold did all they could in the second half to level up the sores but to no avail till the final whistle.
