SERGIO AGUERO is having a medical in Manchester after flying in to seal his £39million move to City.
The Atletico Madrid striker confirmed his arrival in the country on his Twitter page this morning.
He tweeted: "Just landed in Manchester to finalise the details of the deal with City. Everything is good! I'll tell you more soon."
Aguero has been a long-term target for City boss Roberto Mancini.
But the Italian's urgency to secure the Argentina international, 23, increased when Carlos Tevez declared his intent to quit the Etihad.
Aguero, who is married to Diego Maradona's daughter, is set to sign a five-year contract with City, worth £170,000 a week.
The player has made 175 appearances for Atletico and scored 74 goals. He has also hit 13 goals in 30 senior matches for Argentina.
The capture of Aguero is a major boost to City, who beat off competition from Italians Juventus and Inter Milan and Spaniards Real Madrid.
Boss Mancini and City found themselves in the driving seat a few weeks ago when Arguero declared he favoured a move to England.
