JOY BEYOND measure was brought to the hearts of inmates of the Kumasi Children's Home last Saturday.
This came to be following the benevolence of the Kumasi Squash Club who decided to donate generously to the home.
The Kumasi Squash Club presented a 10,000 liter polytank worth GH¢2,000 and an undisclosed amount of money to the home. The largesse by the Kumasi Squash Club forms part of activities
marking this year's Fathers' Day celebration.
Captain of the Kumasi Squash Club, Kwadwo Dekyi said the donation was in response to an appeal made to his group by the home.
In the last three years, the Kumasi Squash Club has been donating to children homes in the Ashanti Region during Fathers' Day celebration.
Last year, the Kumasi Squash Club made a presentation to the Mampong Babies Home.
The previous year, the club supported the St. Theresa's Home by donating generously to them.
Captain Dekyi explained that 'as fathers we want give to these unfortunate children on this important day.
'We want these children to know that they have fathers somewhere like us who are willing to contribute to their growth.'
The Kumasi Squash Club climaxed the Fathers' Day celebration by attending a church service on Sunday.
There was also a mini party at the Ridge base of the Kumasi Squash Club after the church service.
Crack players like Lawyer Coffie and Lawyer Kwame Boafo were among those that graced the mini party where assorted food and drinks were served.
