Lazio's difficulty in clinching a deal for Portsmouth midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng has alerted AC Milan.
The 23-year-old has struggled to agree terms with Lazio to leave a £5.3million deal in limbo.
Reports in Italy suggest Milan could pounce, with Boateng believed to prefer a move to Italy ahead of offers on the table from Turkey, Greece and the Middle East.
The former Tottenham Hotspur midfielder impressed at the World Cup with Ghana and was one of the bright lights in a torrid season for Portsmouth last season.
