
Ghana's Aziz Zakari has raced into the 100 meters final of the ongoing Africa Athletics Championship in Kenya.
He was the first in semi-final heats with the best qualification time of 10.16 seconds, beating his Nigerian contender Ogho Ejeni Ogwiero.
The other Ghanaian 100 meters athlete, Godwin Hukporti, however failed to qualify for the final after a disappointing 10.76 finish in the semi final heats.
Two Ghanaian ladies in the 100 meters competition, Beatrice Gyamin and Flings Agyapong failed to book a 100 meters final.
Meanwhile Ignatius Gaisah has booked a final berth in the long jump with a 7.54 leap.
