
There will joy and severe heartbreak among Ghanaian players when the country names its World Cup squad in six weeks' time.
Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac will name his World Cup squad by the middfle of May, four weeks before the tournament starts in South Africa.
Several players are keen on making the squad to the global tournament but many will be severly disappointed as only 23 players will be chosen.
Those who are pciked to play in the Black Stars jersey at the tournament will be delighted as competition for places are extremely keen.
"He will probably name the final squad in the middle of May. ," said Nenad Glisic, Rejevac's interpreter.
"The most important thing for the coach is the form of the player. The current level of performance is taken into account."
Those are chosen will gain global popularity for playing in the tournament that starts on 11 June.
They will also gain huge financial bonuses which could be as much as US$300,000 for each player.
The player's valuation on the international transfer market will skyrocket as top clubs will come chasing.
