Premier Soccer League side Free State Stars have revealed that negotiations between them and Italy's Serie A side Udinese for Jonathan Mensah's services have now been completed.
The 19-year-old central defender will have to pass a medical test next week before the deal can be completed.
"He is going for a medical next week Tuesday and that's the only thing outstanding," reveals Free State Stars' brand manager Rantsi Mokoena.
If Mensah's medical is successful, he will only move to Udinese in January.
"Bear in mind that the transfer window is only open in South Africa (because of the special request Safa made), so when he passes the medical, he will only move in January, when the transfer window will be open there," Mokoena adds.
Mensah, who is in his second season at Stars, impressed the Serie A side during the recent Fifa Under-20 World Cup tournament in Egypt, where he helped the Black Satellites win the trophy.
