Hearts board face fans fire

The Hearts of Oak supporters union has described the performance of the four-year reign of the Board of Directors of the club as ''sub-standard''.

The tenure of the board comes to an end on Thursday and their appraisal over the period has come under the scrunity.

The 24-man board of directors failed woefully in fulfilling their infrastructural promises made in 2005.

The dissolution of the board has become the centre of major discussion with huge calls for their replacement.

The unbrella body of the supporters group kicked against the decision of the Board to extend their mandate before congress.

The Natioanal Chapters Committee Vice-Chairman Aziz Haruna Futa is eager to see the board of directors dissolved as quickly as possible to pave way for new ideas.

"I will give them 35% because they absolutely did nothing to advanve the course of Hearts of Oak,"Futa said

"I am looking forward to going to another congress where we hope to reduce the number of persons that serve on the board of the club.

"They told us so many things but after four solid years, we are still where we are and we think that we can't continue like that.

"We are two years away from hitting our centenary celebration and apart from the successes that we have chalked on the pitch on the domestic scene and the African continent, we have absolutely nothing to show off-the pitch."
