The Ghana Football Association has confirmed that the Black Stars will camp South African city of Nelspruit ahead of next year's African Cup of Nations.
The decision to pick the South African venue is a double-edged sword as it also gives the Black Stars the chance to prepare before in the country before June's World Cup.
Black Stars coach Milovan Rajevac will expect his full squad in Nelspruit by 27 December when Fifa expects clubs to release their players for the Nations Cup.
"We will camp in Nelspruit before the African Cup of Nations," Fred Pappoe vice-president of the Ghana FA said.
"We have inspected the facilities there and they are of world class as it is also a World Cup venue."
Ghana will play two friendly matches with local clubs in South Africa before the tournament starts in Angola on 10 January.
The Black Stars are hoping to use the same town as their camping base ahead of the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
