Ayew threatens to quit Egyptian side Zamalek

Ghana midfielder Ibrahim Ayew has threatened to leave Egyptian giants Zamalek if his wages are not paid within two days.

 
The son of legend Abedi Pele has shockingly revealed that Zamalek have not been paid his wages and bonuses since October.

He is now contemplating reporting the club to Fifa - just five months into his five-year contract with the club.

Ayew is already experiencing the unpleasant spell that Junior Agogo faced before he ditched the Cairo-based club.

The utility player says he will terminate his contract and return home if he is not paid but his agent is urging patience.

"Ayew should have received his payments on Sunday after he returned from Ghana, but due to normal persuaders he didn't," Hassan said.

"The club's board assured that he would be paid in a couple of days."

Ayew's plight is similar to the one faced by Agogo who accused the club's board of treating him like an 'animal'.

Agogo joined the White Knights on a three-year deal during current president Mamdouh Abbas' first tenure last summer.

The 29-year-old was involved in a myriad of problems with the boardroom, and thus ended his deal prematurely.

Agogo was frequently accused of being undisciplined and irresponsible, while he was hitting back at the Zamalek's officials in return.

Ayew moved to Zamalek from Eleven Wise on a five-year deal.
