Cameroonian Striker, has tipped Ghana for glory at the Nations Cup in Angola.
After seeing his side seal a place in next year's World Cup in South Africa, the goal-poacher believes that Ghana, Nigeria and Cote d'Ivoire are teams that have the wherewithal to lift the trophy in Angola.
Eto'o told goal.com at the weekend that he was optimistic that Africa would have good representations at the World Cup considering the pedigree of the teams that finally made it to South Africa.
The Inter Milan star said: "At the 2010 Nations Cup in Angola, I think Cameroun will be competing with Cote d'Ivoire, Ghana and Nigeria and it will not be easy for us to win the trophy.
"We have a good team with young players and veterans - a great mixture. I am optimistic. Cameroon could well cause a surprise at the World Cup finals.
We have shown our character and quality after a bad start, but what was important was the final result. We have given our fans something to celebrate after missing out on the World Cup in Germany in 2006. It will be a chance for me to gain revenge."
Eto'o described the Indomitable Lions as a united side, which he said, was made so by the efforts of coach Paul Le Guen. He stated further: "Coach Le Guen has united us at the most difficult times, when we had to win games.
He is a great psychologist and a coach with modern ideas of play. The players all want him to stay for the Africa Cup of Nations and the World Cup.
"The whole team played at a great level and each player gave everything. We are a unit and that is why we have succeeded."
