Ghana will start its camping for next year's Africa Cup of Nations two days after Christmas, says the Ghana FA spokesman.
The Black Stars camping for the Angola tournament is likely to be held in the South African town of Nelspruit from 27 December.
"We have started advanced planning for the Nations Cup and we have already the 27 of December to start camping," Randy Abbey, Ghana FA spokesman told Ghanasoccernet.
"We want to make use the squad is prepapred adequately for the challenge ahead."
Players from the main European leagues of France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Holland are expected to join camp from the start.
This means captain Stephen Appiah, Sulley Muntari, Kwadwo Asamoah, Asamoah Gyan, Eric Addo and Matthew Amoah are expected to be infrom the start.
That is because their leagues would be on their annual winter break allowing coach Milovan Rajeavc to gel his squad and pick his players.
But player who ply their trade in England including Michael Essien, John Pantsil, John Mensah and Richard Kingson will only join the squad from 3 January as dictated by the Fifa regulations.
The English league does not have a winter break so they must release their players seven days before the start of the tournament.
Rajevac will then face the difficult task dropping seven players from the 30 he is likely to call for the camping in South Africa.
Ghana Football Association officials and technical are said to have visited the facilities in Nelspurit and are said to be pleased which will be used for the 2010 World Cup.
But they will face a tough task in securing the place as other countries have expressed the desire in using the venue.
