Ghana Under-20 Captain Andre Ayew has expressed his appreciation to President John Evans Atta Mills for his reward package to the entire Black Satellites team saying:"It meets our expectation"
The France-based player could not hide his joy when he received a text a message from his friends in Ghana disclosing the President's reward package for the team on Thursday.
The 21 players were presented with a Toyota Corolla 'S' 2009 model and a 10,000 Ghana cedis which has been invested in bills and bonds for a 15-year period.
The management team members also received a cash reward of US$ 5,000 each.
"I think you can't complain when you receive an reward like this from the people of Ghana and we will like to thank the President for his package," Ayew told Ghanasoccernet.com
"This has motivated us and will help others to also equal our record and do better than us. If know your efforts will be rewarded then you can kill yourself for the country.
"We appreciate it and we will express our gratitude to the President and his people, the GFA President, the fans and Ghanaians in general. We thank you all."
