Essipong, (W/R) Oct. 22 GNA - Sekondi Hasaacas on Wednesday earned a hard won 3-2 victory over Kpondo Heart of Lions in their Glo Premier League match played at the Sekondi Sports Stadium at Essipong.
Hasaacas set the pace for the match just after the kick off and in the
5th minute Joseph Bissah scattered the hopes of the visitors` when he blasted home the first goal.
The home team kept up the pressure to maintain their lead and in the 21st minute, Charles Nartey added another goal despite a strong counter-attack by the visitors with the attackers also threatening to find the equaliser.
Both sides give out their best as the match gathered momentum until the first half ended.
Back from the recess, the Kpondo Lads went into attack with their characteristic formation which Hasaacas found difficult to keep at bay with the defence and mid-field making extra effort top contain them.
Mohammed Tanko in the 56th minute redeemed a goal for Lions while Joseph Bissah scored the third goal for Hasaacas in the 77th minute to bring them at par but just as the game was coasting to an end Daniel Acquaye scored another goal in the 89th minute to send the supporters into wild jubilation.
