Vice-President of the Ghana Football Association Fred Pappoe expects tough challenges in the 2010 World Cup qualifying as Ghana prepares to face Sudan.

Ghana have made a perfect start to the campaign with three wins out of three under Milovan Rajevac.

The Black Stars sit top of Group D with 9 points, eight ahead of their opponents for Sunday at the Ohene Djan Stadium in Accra.

Expectations appear high but for Fred Pappoe, chairman of the senior male team's management committee, the players are just staying focused ahead of the game.

“We may have won 2-0 in Khartoum but there are too many lessons in football that suggest that when teams don't have much to play for they can be the most dangerous,” he said.

“Within the Stars camp the players are not thinking that way, they understand that it is just another qualifier with three points at stake and nothing else.”

Ghana won the corresponding fixture in Khartoum 2-0 and will further enhance their chances of qualifying if they win against Sudan.
