Ghana midfielder Sulley Muntari is sticking to his religious dictates by continuing with his Ramadan fast even in the face of the rumpus it has caused.

Inter coach Jose the Mourinho who was as the centre of the storm has included the Muslim in his squad for Saturday night's clash against city rival AC Milan.

Mourinho had hinted that the Ghanaian could be excluded from his squad after the enforcer was substituted after just 30 minutes of last week's league game.

The Portuguese coach said he substituted the midfielder because he lost energy as he was fasting while playing in the game against newly-promoted Bari.

Mourinho revealed that even though Muntari is still fasting his work rate has improved tremendously.

“This week I saw him (Muntari) working in the best way,” coach Jose Mourinho said.

"We had very hard training sessions. All players had problems with dehydration, they all drank gallons of water and ate after training, but Muntari did not do so.”

As tonight's clash is later in the evening Muntari could have broken his fast enabling him to give his best in the derby game.
