Accra, July 9, GNA – NDK Financial Services, a non-bank financial institution on Thursday donated apparels to the Local Organising Committee (LOC) towards the organization of the Hockey Africa Cup for Nations, Ghana 2009.
The apparels valued at 30,000 Ghana cedis included two sets of jerseys for the Male National Hockey team (Black Sticks), 600 T-Shirts for volunteers, 200 Polo Shirts for Officials and 120 uniforms for Umpires and Tournament Officials.
Emmanuel Kyeremeh, Head of Financial Services Division of NDK said the donation was his outfits contribution towards the successful organization of the July 10 to July 18 championship.
Magnus Rex Danquah, Acting Chief Executive officer of the LOC commended the Non-Bank institution for the timely support towards the tourney.
Ghana as the host will be joined by Nigeria, South Africa and Egypt for the eight-day championship.
This is the first time Ghana is hosting the Championship since its inception in 1974.
