
Quartey will play in France Ghana international defender Jonathan Quartey has secured a move from Afric by signing for French club Nice.
The former Ashgold player moves Kaizer Chiefs after the South African club agreed to release him to the French side.
The Amakhosi club confirmed the departure of Quartey to France insisting that the Ghanaian contributed to the South African club.
“On behalf of the Kaizer Chiefs family, I would like to thank Jonathan for his contribution during his stay with the team," said Bobby Motaung, Chiefs football manager.
"We wish him everything of the best in his new venture.”
Quartey, who joined Chiefs from Ghanaian premiership side, AshGold will now be part of the Nice setup that finished in ninth in the just ended Ligue1 2008/09 season.
