Former Hearts of Oak coach, Herbert Addo has been appointed coach of rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko.
Herbert takes over from Isaac Opeele Boateng who has struggled to lead the porcupine warriors after several shocking defeats and a disappointing ninth place in the Glo premier league table.
The new coach in an interview with Joy Sports is upbeat of returning the porcupine warriors to winning ways.
“Kotoko has the best players in the league,” he said, but wondered why the team was not getting the desired results.
Herbert Addo said he is not under any pressure to perform, but added “everything will depend on the players.”
His first major test will be against in-form Sekondi Eleven Wise at the Essipong Stadium on Sunday in week 20 of the Glo premier league.
Herbert led Hearts' unbeaten run to win the premier league in 2003 and had short stints with some division 1 league teams including Samartex.
He is expected to lead the side for the rest of the season.
